The Kangaroo Mathematics Competition is an international mathematics competition in which millions of children and young people from many countries participate every year. The aim of the competition is to awaken the joy of mathematical questions and to promote independent thinking.
The tasks deliberately differ from classical mathematics lessons: they are varied, clear and stimulate logical thinking, combining and trying things out. The focus is not only on correct results, but above all on the creative solution and the fun of puzzling.
Students at the Johann-Hinrich-Fehrs-School also regularly take part in the Kangaroo Competition. The competition offers them the opportunity to demonstrate their mathematical skills, learn new thinking strategies and experience mathematics as an exciting and motivating subject.
