We are in Neumünster

The Johann-Hinrich-Fehrs-School sees school as a place where children not only learn, but are also allowed to develop their personalities. Our pedagogical work is characterized by respect, reliability, and a focus on the individual strengths of each child. We promote independent thinking, social interaction, and the joy of learning – in the classroom as well as in everyday life together.

The Hallig Group

A special focus of our school is the Hallig program, which gives children additional time, peace, and support in their everyday school life. In small, manageable groups, the students receive targeted support, space for repetition, and the opportunity to deepen learning content at their own pace. At the same time, the Hallig program strengthens social skills, personal responsibility, and a sense of security in everyday school life.

Open all-day care

As an open all-day school, we support children far beyond the classroom. Working parents can rely on reliable care hours from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After class, homework support, free play phases, and pedagogically supervised activities are available. We also offer a four-week care program during the holidays, which offers children variety, community, and meaningful activities.

Our after-school clubs

An integral part of our school life are the numerous after-school clubs (AGs). Whether sporty, creative, musical, or playful – the children have the opportunity to discover interests, develop talents, and try new things. The after-school clubs not only promote individual skills, but also strengthen team spirit, perseverance, and self-confidence.

Healthy nutrition

For us, healthy nutrition is also part of a successful school day. The children can have breakfast before class and receive a balanced lunch in our cafeteria after class. Shared meals are more than just sustenance – they are an important part of social interaction.

Together with parents, pedagogical staff, and external partners, we create a school in which children feel safe, learn to take responsibility, and can go their own way with curiosity and confidence.

Community life

The community life at our school is characterized by a variety of joint activities and fixed rituals in everyday school life. Festivals, projects, working groups, and special activities offer children numerous opportunities to meet each other, take responsibility, and experience community. Cohesion, mutual respect, and enjoyment of being together are strengthened – important foundations for a positive school climate.
