Movement, play, and sport enable children to consciously perceive their bodies, develop motor skills, and have positive experiences with performance, cooperation, and fairness. <\/p><p>The lessons are based on the subject requirements for sports in primary schools in Schleswig-Holstein and are divided into seven central areas of movement. The children gather diverse movement experiences, mostly in a playful form. Both motor skills and social and personal skills are specifically promoted, such as:  <\/p><ul><li>Cooperation and communication<\/li><li>Sense of responsibility<\/li><li>Dealing with success and failure<\/li><li>Self-confidence and perseverance<\/li><\/ul><p>Movement is also firmly anchored in everyday school life, including through exercise periods, sports clubs, running days, Federal Youth Games, and school sports competitions.<\/p><h2>Differentiation, safety, and assessment<\/h2><p>Sports education takes into account the different physical requirements of the children through:<\/p><ul><li>individual load control<\/li><li>adapted tasks<\/li><li>differentiated forms of play and exercise<\/li><\/ul><p>Safety, awareness of rules, and mutual consideration are always of great importance. Performance assessment is primarily based on active participation, personal learning progress, and social behavior in class. <\/p><h2>Aim of sports education<\/h2><p>The aim is for students to develop a love of exercise, strengthen their physical abilities, and learn to move fairly, responsibly, and independently in sporting activities \u2013 as a basis for health, well-being, and lifelong
